Dear Member,

I am writing this just after the Easter holiday.  The weather has been smashing and nobody felt like doing any work.  Still, we managed to keep things going.  The Band had a well-earned rest after their recent fabulous tour with Gary Glitter.  They hope you all had a Happy Easter and send their thanks for the masses of cards and presents that arrived here for them.  None of the eggs got broken, thank goodness!  Now we all look forward to the summer and for those of you who have the long school holiday to look forward to, all I can say is "lucky things".

THE GLITTER BAND IS NO MORE

No, Hang on!  It is not quite as bad as it seems.  Anyway, most of you will know by now that "THE GLITTER BAND" has decided to become "G.BAND".  Now that I have got over the shock, I quite like it as I am sure you will too.  We know that they will still be as popular as ever even with a new name.

JOHN SPRINGATE

John sends his warm thanks from Lyn and himself for the great presents and cards which I forwarded on for you.  They were married on March 27th and we all wish them every good wish for the future together.  There's only Gerry and Pete left now.....

NEW AND PAST RECORDS

Those of you who were in the Fan Club in May last year will remember this address and it is well worth noting it down as it could be useful at some time:-

Ian can supply new and also past records at a discount to Fan Club Members.  If you have difficulty in getting any G. Band record, he can usually help.  Quote your Fan Club Number when you write to him.

L.P. & SINGLE NEWS

Many thanks to all of you who have written in to say how great you thought "PEOPLE LIKE YOU AND PEOPLE LIKE ME" was.  It did very well in the charts as you know and really deserved to do even better.  The L.P. "LISTEN TO THE BAND" is really fantastic and judging by the letters I have had about this, you agree too.
The next single, due for release around May 21st is called "DON'T MAKE PROMISES" and there are plans for another L.P. some time around May 14th, to be called "THE GLITTER BAND'S GREATEST HITS".  So look out for them both.

Band and me -
