HELLO!

Or should I say "Hey!" ?  The time seems to have whizzed by since I wrote the first newsletter and here I am writing to you again.  I am please to tell you that the Fan Club is coming along very well and membership is growing all the time.  I would like to say thankyou to all who have written in to me wishing the Club success - it is great to know that I have your support.  Could I just mention, though, that when you do write in remember to put your membership number on the letter and enclose a stamped, addresses envelope as this does save time in replying.  Also, it is even more cheering to have all those letters of support fr the Band and even though some of the girls have their special favorites, everyone agrees that the Band is great.

As you will know, the Band have been on tour this Autumn and judging by the letters received here, those who did manage to get to see them had a great time and can't wait to see them again.  For those who did not manage to get to see them, do not be too disappointed as there is always another time.  The Band are to do another tour around next Spring for six weeks and although there are no definite details as yet, I will of course, let members know when I have more information.

Pete Phipps had a birthday recently and sends his thanks for all the cards he received - it was very nice of you to think of him and Pete really appreciated this.

I have had a lot of mail from those members who are under 18 years of age and cnnot get into many of the places the Band visits because of age restrictions.  Well, I have been talking to John Rossall about this and the Band are very sympathetic and hope to put this right some time n the next year by visiting places where under 18's can get in to see the concerts.
I will hope to give definite news in a later newsletter.

A lot of members have pointed out the printing error in the Biogram regarding John Springate's birthday.  Well, he was born on February 1st 1949 and so he is not 21 as it says on the first page.  Thanks for noticing it, though.

Also, some of you have queried when the newsletter comes out.  If you remember on the application form you were sent to join the Fan Club it does say quarterly and that means every three months.  So the next one after this will be due in February.

BAND NEWS

I expect you have all heard the last single "Let's get Together Again".  It really is great isn't it.

The Band are to do a tour of Australia in March next year and I know you wish them every bit of good luck for that tour.  Six-week British tour next Spring, will give more details when I have them.

They are to make a film with "Mud" and is to be called "Never Too Young To Rock!"  It is about Rock and Roll groups and should be ready for release in 1975 so that will be something worth waiting for.

CHRISTMAS DRAW

There is to be a great Draw for Christmas.  Six names will be picked out at random and those lucky people will have a phone call on Christmas Day from a member of the Glitter Band, or, if any of the winners are not on the 'phone, we will sort out something else, perhaps in the form of a Christmas or New Year card.  So, you do not have to do anything to enter, except perhaps keep your fingers crossed.......  I will inform the winners soon after the draw is made and so if you have not heard well in time for Christmas, then you are not one of the lucky ones.  Please do not write in to find out if you have won, for as I say, you will be informed as soon as possible.  I will announce the winners in the 3rd Newsletter due out around February.

`    I still have some glossy black and white photo's on offer, but not many as they have been going "like hot cakes".
